In the effort to improve quality and competitiveness in the globalization era, the 18th KOGI 2022 was held under the theme “The Improving of Quality and Competitiveness in The Globalization Era” at the SKA Convention and Exhibition Center, Pekanbaru, on July 25–27, 2022.

As part of the event series, PT. Simex Pharmaceutical Indonesia supported the Lunch Symposium held on July 26, 2022, with the theme:
“Reaching Higher Standard of Folate Supplementation.”

The symposium featured distinguished speakers:
- Prof. Dr. Noroyono Wibowo, Sp.OG (K) KFM
- Prof. Luca Tiano, PhD (Gnosis, Italy)

The session was moderated by Prof. Dr. Erry Gumilar, Sp.OG (K) KFM.

The discussion highlighted the importance of folate supplementation, particularly in the form of active folate (5-MTHF or 5-methyltetrahydrofolate), which provides advantages over conventional folic acid. With the support of PT. Simex Pharmaceutical Indonesia, the symposium aimed to enhance medical professionals’ understanding of the benefits of 5-MTHF for maternal health, pregnancy, and the development of future generations.
