PT. Simex Pharmaceutical Indonesia, in collaboration with the East Kalimantan branch of POGI, organized a Scientific Symposium themed “Protecting Future Generations: Preventing Congenital Malformation, Preterm Birth & Preeclampsia with Critical Micronutrient”. The event was held on Sunday, May 12, 2024, at the Gran Senyiur Hotel, Balikpapan, starting from 09.00 WIB until completion.

The symposium featured Prof. Dr. dr. Noroyono Wibowo, Sp.OG (K) KFM as the keynote speaker, and was moderated by dr. Noviana Indarti, Sp.OG., Subsp. Obginsos MH Fisqua. The discussion focused on the critical role of micronutrients in supporting maternal and fetal health, as well as preventing pregnancy-related complications.

The presentations emphasized how adequate micronutrient intake can help prevent congenital malformations, reduce the risk of preterm birth, and play an important role in the prevention of preeclampsia. With this knowledge, healthcare professionals are expected to further optimize their services in protecting future generations.
